I am writing to you with a vision in mind. It is a vision that I hope to be able to bring to life and for that I will be needing your assistance. I realize that your first thought is to disregard and toss out what you might consider ‘junk’, but I hope that you will not mind my taking a few minutes of your time and you will read the remainder of this introduction.

For the last five plus years, I have been thinking and overthinking envisioning a place that offers safety, comfort, learning, resources, and fun for children of all ages. In my mind there is a blueprint of a not too small and not too big center that is full of laughter and play and happy memories. It is a combination of a learning center and a playhouse. It is full of color, love and smiles. It offers materials for parents to use to teach the children, assistance, and guides for needed aid to underprivileged families. There is an area for the little ones to play and then there is an area for the older kids to utilize computers and printers and notebooks and books to do assignments. If need be a student will be provided with a computer so that he/she can complete assignments. Because one thing that is for certain, is that for many even a $200 Chromebook is out of budget and some parents must choose between educating and feeding a child.
There will be a library of books that can be given to children so that there is bedtime reading for them. There will be lots of arts and crafts materials to promote creativity and growth of imagination. For it is the seed of imagination and creativity that when nurtured will bring great discoveries to life. There will be donations of necessities for those who desperately need it. There will be ways of providing meals to a family that is barely making ends meet.
I am not promising that everyone will be fed, and everyone will be given books and computers but even if a few benefits from my vision, then I think it is worth the efforts.
I can go on and on telling you about my great ideas and this desire within to make this dream a reality. But I realize that you are busy with one too many tasks. So, I will stop rumbling on and on and get to the favor I am asking of you.
Please consider making a donation to help support families in need of something little or something big. Whether it’s a new pair of shoes or a backpack for school or even a small lunch, it is still something done on our part to help the less fortunate.
